Post -London / Concentric Zone Theory

In 2016 I invited 5 artists and 1 curator from the home counties to gather together in Bethnal Green to discuss reading materials about projects that were working on outside London. The brief was bring a studio chair and a book for discussion. Taking Mark Davis’ noir politic novel; City of Quartz in which he talks about London, LA, New York as luxury cities as a starting point, we discussed how to make work outside the traditional art world centres.

Post London: During/ clockwise from the tall chair: Simon Linnington, (Isle Of White) Nat Pitt (Worked in Dartford circa 2000) Barry Sykes (Radical Essex) Elisabeth Morgan (Cambridge) Dominic Allen (Luton)  Lynda Morris (East Anglia) (moderator) in the studio chair of Adam Chodzko (CRASS Chair 2009) (Wiltshire)
